It was three in the morning. And, of course, Frank Canstine was still awake. The new medicines he was taking made him pretty much not able to sleep. So what else was there to do? Eat! This morning, Frank was eating a plain hamburger with french fries in it. He had two drinks next to him. One black coffee and one Dr Pepper. He seemed to be the only person in the diner not to be tired. Perhaps it was because he had drunk four cups of coffee and two bottles of Dr Pepper. "Your bill," the waiter said. "Hey, I'm not done. I might want something sweet," Frank said, pushing the bill away. The waiter rolled his eyes and walked away. Frank was starting to get lonely, though. No one would text him at three in the morning, and he didn't want to bother the men that were here to have a coffee and go. Man, this was a lonely world...

Hayley rolled out of her bed, looking at her alarm clock. 3 in the morning? Why was she awake? She shrugged it off and she stood up rubbing her eyes. She headed over to her closet, and heard her stomach growl. Might as well go get some food while she was waiting for all the sane people to wake up. She pulled out a pair of red skinny jeans, a blue tee shirt, and a black zip up hoodie. She quickly got dressed and moved to the bathroom.
She frowned at herself in the mirror. Her hair was a disaster, but right now, she really didn't feel like fixing it. She threw it up into a messy ponytail, with her bangs still hanging in front of her eye. She skipped putting on make up and brushed her teeth. She walked out of the bathroom, grabbing her keys that were sitting on the kitchen table and walked out the door. She took a moment to lock the door behind her, not wanting anyone to break in and still what little valuable stuff she had.
She decided to walk to the diner. She wasn't really in the mood to drive anyways, and she was probably almost out of gas. She approached the diner, a slight frown on her thin lips. She opened the door and look around for somewhere to sit, or more preferably, someone to sit with. She noticed that one kid, Oh what was his name? Frank. That was it, yeah. She made her way over to him, glancing around the diner. "Is this seat taken?" She asked, motioning to the seat across from him.

Hey, Frank knew her, didn't he? Apparently so, or else she probably wouldn't be asking to sit across from him. He nodded, wiping his mouth with a napkin. "Sure, yeah. Go ahead." Hayley, that was her name, wasn't it? She was in some of his classes. Maybe? Oh, having a horribe memory was such a pain. "What are you doing up at this time?" he asked her, just making chat.

Hayley sat down quickly, tapping her fingers on the table. The waitress came over, and asked her what she wanted. "Uhh.. I'll fries and milkshake I guess." The waitress nodded and wrote it down in her little book thing.
After she walked away, Hayley turned her attention back to Frank. "Ehh.. I can't ever sleep past 4 in the morning. What about you?"
The waitress returned to their table, fries and a milkshake in hand. She set it down on the table and once again, walked away. Hayley picked up one of the fries and grimaced slightly. She wasn't really in the mood for overly greasy food. She shrugged it off and dipped her fry in the shake, and popped in her mouth, chewing slowly and carefully.

Fries...dipped in a shake? Oh, yummy. Frank looked at Hayley with a strange look in his eyes. "Regular insomniac," he said, then shrugged. Hey, it might be good. He'd never had one. He looked at what was left of his own fries, then back at her milkshake. He didn't want to try it anytime soon, either. He took another bite of his burger, which was now half gone.

Hayley grinned at the strange look in his eyes. "Don't look at me like that. It's really good." She picked up another fry, dipped it in her milkshake, and ate it. A lot of people thought dipping fries in shakes was weird, but personally, Hayley liked it.
"Insomniac, eh?" She raised one eyebrow at him, s slight smirk on her lips. She wasn't exactly sure what an insomniac was.. Didn't it have to do with sleep, or something like that? Oh well.

He nodded, taking the last bite of burger he had. He started picking at his french fries when he said, "Yeah. I think it's the new meds I'm on. Sometimes that happens when I suddenly switch medicines." He covered his mouth to yawn. "It's really annoying after a while." Frank didn't want to seem like he was complaining, but sometimes that just happened to him. There were dozens of prescription medicines in his cabinets. At least he didn't abuse them anymore...

Hayley looked at him, a little bit of a confused look on her face. "Meds for what, exactly?" She paused. "I would think that got quite a bit annoying."
She picked up another fry from the plate and ate it without dipping it in her milkshake. She picked up her milkshake, holding the straw between her fingers. She drank a big gulp of the milkshake and set it back down on the table. She picked up a napkin and wiped her hands off and then brought it to her mouth, wiping her mouth off.

Meds for what? Ah, this girl was just a tad bit curious. "OCD. I've got it bad," he said, a smile curving onto his face. He picked up a french fry, biting off its tip, then set it back down. He looked up at the waiter who had approached the table again. "Can I get a piece of chocolate pie?" he asked, handing the fries to the waiter, who stalked off once again. "I don't think he likes me," Frank whispered to Hayley.

"OCD.. Ahh. I seee." So this Frank kid had OCD. Hayley laughed and said "How long have you been sitting here, all by your lonesome?" She picked up another fry and stuck it in her milkshake. She ate it, sloyly, a slight frown on her lips.

Frank looked at the clock on the wall. "Three hours," he replied. "Or around that long." He took a sip of his coffee and smiled. He wasn't tired much anymore...Maybe it was all the caffeine he had consumed...

"Three hours?" She looked at him, her eyes wide. "Are you insane?" Why would someone sit in a diner, all alone, for three long hours? Of course the waiter guy was mad at him. Hayley probably would be too. She picked up another fry and dipped it in her milkshake. She yawned, covering her mouth quickly. She ate the fry and picked up her milkshake, taking a small drink.

The girl seemed to be suprised by his answer. He had said he was an insomniac, right? "Yeah. I couldn't sleep," he said, shrugging and taking a sip of his Dr Pepper. "Stupid medicines," he added with a playful smile. The waiter placed a plate of delicious looking chocolate pie in front of Frank and walked away. "You want half-ish?" Frank offered.

Hayley shook her head at him, laughing slightly. Three hours. Wow. That was a bit.. long? "I would imagine. That medicine must be very stupid." She watched the waiter as he brought the pie. She hadn't even heard Frank talk at first, but turned towards him. She got half of his sentence. '-nt half-ish?' That's what she heard. "Yeah. Sure."
