Haley walked into the diner in a flowing bright blue knee-length dress that matched her eyes and white heels. She thanked God her horrible blind date was over and cursed herself for ever agreeing to it in the first place.
The guy had been some acting student and full of himself. Throughout the entire movie they'd gone to see all he did was whisper in her ear loudly things she didn't want to know. Haley supposed he'd been attractive enough, but he was rude and a slob.
Sitting down in her usual booth, she took out a menu. Two and a half years here and she'd still only made it through half the menu. It was a goal of hers to try it all. Deciding on a food she'd already had, she didn't feel guilty, since she was in need of some comfort tonight.
The waitress walked up and Haley ordered an ice cream sundae. After having to let that bastard kiss her goodbye, she felt her mouth deserved a treat. As the girl went to put her order in, she pulled a book from her matching purse and opened it. Starting to read, she lost herself in the story. [/blockquote]

Walking into the diner Trey scratched lightly at the stubble that dominated much of the bottom half of his face. Taking in the scent of the Diner he smiled. This place was definitly a comfort zone, one of the owners was like a mother to him after all.
Sliding onto a seat at the bar rather than take up a table to himself he didn't bother looking at the menu he knew by heart. "Coffee and some scrambled eggs please." He said to the cook in back, who laughed and shook his head before nodding in agreement. Nodding back towards him Trey began drumbing his fingers to the latest beat he and the band had come up with.
Being a weekend Trey had been on a few dates, one leading to sex and the other leading her bawling hysterically abuot they were meant for each other. He'd decided taking flowers to any date probably wouldnt' pay off again anytime soon. Scratching it off his list of things to mentally he sighed. What was next.

Haley was still engrossed in her book when she heard someone say her name, and quite loudly. Groaning, she hid her face behind it, hoping it wasn't to late, or that he knew another Haley. When he was standing right over her, though, she knew she was screwed.
Setting her book down, she put on an obviously forced smile. "Hi, Ryan." she said. God, she'd just gotten off a date with this guy, and he was already coming back to submit her to more torture. It was just then that the waitress brought her her ice cream. Haley thought about asking for it to go, or just a check, but she didn't want to seem rude.
Ryan sat down across from her without asking, and she grimaced before turning it back into the forced smile. "So you had a sweet tooth after our date too huh?" he asked her. "Man, we're perfect together." Oh my god, she screamed in her head. Did he really just say that.
"Well, I wouldn't go that far...." she whispered quietly. Looking around the diner, she hoped there would be someone who would respond to her pleading eyes and save her, although she didn't see anyone she knew. Ryan kept talking as Haley felt like bashing her own skull in. [/blockquote]

Hearing someone state a familiar name Trey's head shot up. One of those strange quarks that he had. Looking around he noticed the girl he'd met at the club the other night and laughed inside. The one that didn't make any sense at all, but it seemed at this point she was in trouble. Looking for a napkin and pen he walked towards her.
Sliding in beside Haley without any acknowledgement he pushed he napkin towards Haley. "Can you draw me a map to the academy?" He asked her, winking with the eye that wasn't visible to the guy across the table. Reaching over he scooped a spoonful of ice cream out of the sundae bowl and shoved it in his mouth waiting for her response. Waiting for another moment he looked to the guy. "I think I'm going to borrow her." Turning towards Haley he did his best not to smirk yet. "How bout you show me." With that he grabbed her hand took her ou the door.
"i saved you," He laughed, smirking her way finally. "You owe me something now." It wasn't a joke either, he'd make her do something regardless of what it was. Simply because he was odd that way.

It'd been a couple of weeks since Haley had even thought about Trey, so she was a tad shocked when he slid into the booth next to her, asking for a map to the academy. Although his wink tipped her onto what he was doing, and she appreciated it greatly.
She batted at his hand with a smile on her face as he took some of her ice cream, but laughed anyways. Before she could even pick up the pen though, he was saying he was taking her. "Sorry, Ryan, I'll talk to you later." she said quickly before Trey had pulled her out of earshot.
Laughing, she took her hand from his once they were outside. "Yes, you did save me, and I thank you for that." Still laughing, she continued, "Although, I can't help but wonder what you could possibly want from me." [/blockquote]

"I want you to not have to date losers." He said simply, shrugging away any thoughts that she might think he was into anything like a relationship. Anyone who knew Trey at all knew better than that. It wasn't that he used girls, he just could do the whole commitment thing, there were too many women around him for there to simply be one. He didn't believe that anymore, not after Courtney and what she'd pulled.
Pulling his keys out of his pocket he twirled them around his fingers. "Have fun." He winked at her once more and headed towards the Ducatti that was waiting for him in the parking lot. He wasn't sure if she was walking or what, but if Haley was looking for something other than a stand or a friend....there wasn't much point in talking to him. This, saving her from the guy...Ryan, had been his nice gesture of the day.
Realizing he'd forgotten to pay for the eggs he hadn't eaten Trey shook his head and texted the cook, saying he'd catch the tab in the morning. It paid to grow up somewhere where everyone really knew you some days.

"Well, I want that too." She replied with a laugh. Walking after him, she pulled on his arm, making him stop. "Not so fast there, cowboy." she said. "I don't like having unpaid debts." she told him. "So how about you tell me what I owe you."
Noticing Ryan opening the door of the restaurant, she started pulling him towards what she thought was his car. "And why don't you do so while giving me a ride, because the loser's heading this way." she said with a nervous look over her shoulder. [/blockquote]

Feeling her touch as he finished his text Trey turned and raised a brow at her comment. For some reason that entertained him, he didn't mind letting her owe him in all honesty. After all, it fit the Trey Sanders persona just fine. Realizing she was heading for someone's car he stopped, chuckling. Scratching his chin for a moment he shook his head and pointed towards the Ducatti before heading towards it. Reaching for it he pulled the helmet off the back he handed it to her. "I don't have a car." He said simply.
Climbing on he flipped the passenger pedals out for her and waited for her to climb on behind him. "I'm waiting." He smirked, watching Ryan start over towards them. "Or I can leave you to his mercy." The expression in his eyes proved that he was definitly entertained as he started the motorcycle, waiting for her to make any sort of decision.
As he sat there waiting Trey wondered what he'd started at the club. It wasn't emotion that was tugging him around with Haley, but it was something that he enjoyed. He wouldn't lie, this girl was going to be aroung longer than the other girls, but for how long and as what had yet to be determined.

Haley just shrugged; car or motorcycle, as long as it got her away from Ryan, she was fine with it. Taking the helmet, she put it on and climbed on behind him. Wrapping her arms around his waist tightly, she made sure her feet were properly on the pedals.
Great, her first time riding a motorcycle and she was wearing heels, how practical. Although she had to admit, being in this close of proximity to Trey again sent some pretty exciting feelings through her body.
Haley wasn't interested in a relationship. When she started school, she'd made a promise to herself that she would focus solely on her art and not let any guys get in the way. But she wouldn't mind having a no-commitments thing... Especially with someone like Trey. [/blockquote]

Racing through the streets on the bike, the wind smacking him in the face Trey didn't think about anything really. Not even the fact that his waist was alight from the way Haley's hands slid around him. He wasn't looking for someone to love him or hold him. In fact, he wasn't looking for anything anymore...was he?
Shaking his head in the wind he pulled over after a few miles, the beach a few feet away from the parking lot. Shutting off the bike he looked to her. "I don't know where you live." He said simply, all of a sudden craving a cigarette.

Haley laughed a little. "Take a left at the next light, and it's the third building on the right." she told him. "I don't suppose you smoke, do you?" Haley asked him hopefully. Removing her arms from around Trey's waist, she straightened her dress around her legs.
She'd quit when she started art school, but every once in a while she couldn't help but cheat. The nicotine rush made her feel so much better on hard days. She took off the helmet, hating the way it felt and ran both her hands through her curly brown hair.
Deciding that she really didn't care what her hair looked like, she just waved one of her hands, as if dismissing the whole thing. [/blockquote]

"Well, NOW I know how to get there." Trey rolled his eyes, laughing slightly at his sarcasm. After all that's what he did best most days. Her cigarette question caught him off guard, that whole mind reading thing was a bit creepy in some ways. "I've got a pack at my apartment." Was his answer. There was little reason for him to take them with him when he went out because he didn't do it in public places, it was too much effort going a certain distance away.
"But other than that, no." He said, shrugging. He was itching for one at this point. Having missed his eggs and coffee it was the last vice of the evening he had to go. Looking at her Trey realized how much he lusted for the girl, that the way she moved made him want to just...have her.
Rather than acting on his impure thoughts Trey ran a hand through his hair. "What do you want to do then? I can just take you home." He said slowly, glancing at her. It wasn't that he was nervous, more like curious.

Haley got a devious glint in her eyes as she sat sideways on the bike so both her legs were on one side. "Well, that depends," she said. "Are you talking my home or yours?" She laughed a little, and waited for him to answer.
She had to admit, at this point, she was more interested in Trey's place than hers. She did have her own pack of cigs at home just for days like these... "Although in the end, I don't suppose it matters which one." she said. No one could blame Haley for the thoughts running through her head, after all, Trey was a very attractive guy. [/blockquote]

"Haley, how bout you tell me what you really want hun." He said simply, realizing at this point he would've lit a cigarette and would be enjoying the nicotine shooting through his blood, constricting his heart. Instead he stood nearer to her, inches from her if one was to get technical. He smelled of the diner, of cigarettes, and cologne that he always had on. Trey never smelled all that bad if one thought about it.
"So decide what you wanted to do." He smirked at her, because obviously she didn't understand that he could do anything he wanted at the moment, he was allowing the ball to play in her court.

Haley had to laugh at this. She stood up from the bike so their bodies were pressed together and looked in his eyes, the glint still in hers. With a smile, she leaned forward and pressed her lips to his forcefully.
It seemed throughout the entire kiss they were both battling for control. When she pulled away all she did was smirk, and say, "Does that answer your question, hun." She said the hun in a part endearing, part sarcastic voice. She hated being treated like an ornament, and terms of endearment always made her feel that way.
"But you still didn't answer my question," she said. "My place... or yours?" [/blockquote]
