She let out a delighted laugh and continued playing the guitar rythm she came up with. "I'm happy to oblige then." She said sweetly as she continued to play the soft tranquil rythm.
She had always loved music. Even before she lost her sight. It was a part of her, and that became proof when she started to play without the sight. She didn't need eyes to know notes and chords. You needed ears for that, which she happily had a pair of working ears. She laughed at Kennie and nodded her head. "Take your time." She said turning her head to the girl for a moment before her head turned back to the surf.
She started to hum the along with her guitar. This was what she lived for. The joy she got out of singing and playing. She enjoyed the sounds of her accoustic guitar better, but she was pretty handy with an electric guitar as well. Her parents actually had some home videos of her when she was learning how to play her first guitar.

Humming along with the beat of the acoustic Kennie attempted to find peaceful lyrics that would fit the mood. The world spins in a blackened haze...no one can save me, not while I'm standing and collapsing in this haze.{/I] She wrote down, thinking still that it didn't quite fix the tranquil feel that she was going for. I lust for the world that I once knew...I crave the feel of sand beneath my toes...I feel more than anyone could know. Matching the feel of the beat with the few lyrics she'd written down Kennie began to sing softly.
Looking to Lynn after she'd finished she smiled though the girl couldn't see it. Writing near her seemed more honest than writing with someone else. There were only a handful of people that could make Kennie think like that and it was strange, but welcome either way. "What do you think?" She asked, pushing some hair from her face.

She heard her humming and continued playing. She could hear her pencil writing on the paper as she thought up some lyrics. She listened to her sing the lyrics for a moment then stopped when Kennie asked her what she thought. She didn't answer right away. Instead she started to play again and added a few more things into the rythm before she sand the lyrics herself.
"I lust for the world that I once knew...I crave the feel of sand beneath my toes...I feel more than anyone could know. " She stopped for a moment and contemplated the lyrics. "I like 'em." She said sweetly smiling warmly as she turned her head back to Kennie.

Hearing someone sing her lyrics sent chills through Kennie's spine. Of course she and Twigg were always tweaking each other's songs and such..but this was completely different. There wasn't any way she could've explained it. But it thrilled her to no end that Lynn liked the lyrics, that they actually fit.
"Really? I'm so glad!" Kennie said with exhasperation and excitement all in one It wasn't everyday she met a new friend and definitly not everyday she was able to collaborate with someone on a song. If anyone ever doubted the power of music all they had to do was look at Kennie and Lynn at that moment and know it could do amazing things. "Any ideas?" She asked in way of the song.

She smiled at her exasperated excitment. She was actually enjoying her company a lot more than she thought she would at first. She reached up and brushed some more stray hairs behind an ear. She pushed the sunglasses over her eyes up ontop of her head and rubbed her eyes with the heel of her hand for a moment thinking of some way to tweak what she came up with.
"Well... on the last line, you could put 'I feel more than anyone could ever know' instead of leaving the word 'ever' out." She said gently turning her head to Kennie. "I think that line would flow better with that one simple word added to it." She admited gently as her hands started to play the rythm again while she thought on some more of the lyrics.
"Like I said, I'm not very good with writing lyrics. When you give me some though I can match a rythm, and if I can think of a few ways to make them flow better I can tweak them around, but that's about as capable with lyrics as I am." She admited gently turning her head back to the water gazing unseeingly out at the crashing waves.

Listening to Lynn speak about the lyrics and such lit Kennie up. She was thrilled to be writing, it made her want to do this forever...which was exactly how she felt when she was on the verge of honestly creating something that no one else could. That was one of the things about music, no one honestly came up with the same thing. It was all in your head, your heart. "I love it, should we try it one more time and keep going?" She asked.
Putting her pen to the paper she add the simple word ever in the small space between the other words. The small piece of paper was already becoming heavy with words and ideas...yet they'd only used one. Kennie was glad that Lynn was as excited as she was, even if they didn't 'see eye to eye' it didn't even matter, because Kennie would explain anything.

She listened to Kennie and nodded her head. "If you want to, I don't have a problem with that. " She said smiling gently as she started to play giving it a little accoustic intro. "You want to sing or do you want me to?" She asked gently as her hands just kind of played around on the accoustic.
She loved doing this. Her ex was a good song writer, and she helped tweak his songs when she felt it, but after the accident he just blew her off. She realized later he was an arrogant asshole, and she was better off without him. After that she just kind of lost herself to wonderful world of music. She easily lost herself in that world. She could just sing and/or play her sorrow or anger away depending on the mood she was in.

Shifting her position in the sand, feeling her bottom becoming wet Kennie began to nod and realized how stupid that was. "You sing it, maybe I can add more." She suggested, pressing her pencil hard into the paper as Lynn began playing all over again. The thrill of a project, the chance to just....make something out of air was so exciting and a friend in the process made it more meaningful to say the least.
The words flowed with the beat and Kennie feared she wouldn't be able to fit anything else to it, though it seemed she always did manage...and Lynn had a gift for tweaking Lyrics..so they were set it seemed and Kennie was sure this was team that was meant to be in some strange way.

She nodded her head and went back to playing and smiled warmly. She cleared her throat a moment then took a deep breath before she let the words flow from her. "I lust for the world that I once knew...I crave the feel of sand beneath my toes...I feel more than anyone could ever know. " She dropped her head down as if she was looking at the guitar as she continued to play. This time though she just hummed through what they had in thought.
She stopped as her head lifted once again and just continued playing the rythm they had going while she thought. She never could have imagined that things would happen this way. She believed in things happening for a reason, and maybe it was supposed to be this way, but there were some things she wasn't thrilled about. Like being blind. That was always a bummer for her.

Listening to Lynn's melodic voice fit the words with the guitar's chords Kennie nodded her head slowly, matching the rhthym. "If there was any way to explain how I felt....could you really see it like I can't...or would it be completely different." Kennie began to sing this next bit to the the beat they already had panned out, unsure if the lyrics really fit or not.
Biting her lips she shifted once more in the sand and looked to Lynn, sad that she could be seen by the girl. "What do you think?" She asked, wanting her input on everything. After all, she'd basically interrupted private time for Lynn by asking to write a song with her....in all technicality at least.

Her head turned to Kennie as she picked up where Lynn had left off with the new lyrics. She smiled softly and nodded as she listened playing the rythm she'd set out for Kennie. She liked it a lot. It fit the music perfectly almost.
She smiled excitedly and nodded her head. "I like it. I like it a lot." She said nodding her head gently as she continued to play. She had to admit it was nice to feel this way. To feel like she had a friend again. Sure she had friends back in Tennessee, but ever since the car wreck her friendships with old friends had somehow became strained. White Hill was supposed to be kind of like a new start for her and she planned on taking full advantage of it.

There was no embarrassment or tension in Kennie as she began the words over again, singing the second set twice over before realizing that it did fit just great. Smiling in spite of herself she caught Lynn's eyes, eyes that could've and should've seen everything yet saw the black that the sinners of the world deserved to see.
Shaking her shoulders and arms out once to get the creative juices flowing even more she looked to her paper before looking back at Lynn, who although she couldn't see, still deserved to have someone looking at her as they spoke. "Any ideas?" She asked, the thrill in her voice.

She shook her head softly as her unseeing eyes stared out to the ocean while she played. "Not off the top of my head." She said softly as her hands plucked away at the strings in thought. She could tell just from Kennie's tone that she was excited about this. She didn't blame the girl either. It was an exciting feeling, and though she was much more calm and tranquile than Kennie, Lynn was excited as well.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath of the sea air. "I miss being able to watch the waves." She murmured softly without realizing she had said it out loud. She missed a lot of things that required sight. Like looking through her photo albums. That was something she missed most of all. Being able to open up a photo album of her and her brother and just flip through their pictures laughing at the funny ones and sigh or saying 'aw' at the sight of cute ones.
