After working at the ritz for 7 hours straight, Twigg found the thought of settling down to a come down drink in the place positively repulsive, she was sick of staring at the same dirty counter, the same old men who didn't seem to have homes to go to and the same dull green wallpaper that, without the bright lights of a gig, seemed to suck the life out of everyone.
This was the very reason she found herself pushing open the front door to Greasers at half eleven at night. She was still craving a well needed beer, and wanted a few hours to herself to chill out before she went from the hectic of work to the hectic of home. Unlike most babied, Tyler seemed to have an uncanny ability to sense when his Mum returned from work and was unable to stay asleep with that knowledge in his head, insisting on story after story before he would lay his head back down and close his baby blues. There was no doubt she loved the little critter but she'd give anything to just come home and let her head hit the pillow and not leave until the alarm blared the following morning.
Reaching up she scratch idly at where her extensions joined her head, they were becoming pretty annoying of late and she was seriously contemplating just cutting them all off, she'd never had short hair before, maybe it would look OK? Though first things were first, she had to decide whether to change the color. Keep it the mix of blonde, black and blue it was now or do something different? Even go back to her vibrant pink maybe? She wasn't sure, and it wasn't really a dire decision, it just kept her mind of everything else worrying in her life; Tyler, Wyatt, Kennie's fragility with this new guy... Sighing lightly she shook her head and leant against the bar, noting the hint of stickiness that was so familiar with her own job.
There didn't seem to be anyone around to serve at the moment, but she'd wait, the only people she had patience for were bartenders, being one herself she knew how overwhelming the job could get at times, even if it looked like there was no one here there's were always barrels to be changed, stocks to refill, it really was a handful at times, people didn't appreciate the trouble, that was for sure.
Settling herself on a high stool nearest to the bar she reached an arm across and under the lip of the bar at the back, feeling her way for the jar of cherries that she knew was hidden just out of sight. This was something she did every time she visited Greasers, no one ever bothered her or complained, it was just Twigg. Unscrewing the top she withdrew two glistening cherries, still on their stalks and raised one to her mouth, plucking the fruit from it's perch easily and taking it between her lips for a moment before it disappeared and was devoured greedily by her.

As he washed out glasses in the back Trey heard someone come in. Finishing his job with time to spare he came to the bar just in time to see someone pawing the cherries and eating them. "I should charge you." He said, smirking at her as he leaned against the counter. His white rag was thrown over his shoulder, a wife beater being his only source of a shirt anyway. Pressing his hands to the bar he took in what he was seeing, unable to take his eyes off of her.
"What's your poison?" He asked her, unsure if she was a beer person...or a liquor one. Everyone was sort of...particular when they came to Greasers, you sort of had to be. The place was...disgusting in it's own right. But it held the appeal that attracted all it's regulars. "I'm Trey by the way." He stated with a smile towards the girl, his eyes did a little dance across her own. He was definitly going to be looking more than twice...and it wasn't just how amazing she looked.
Popping an icecube into his mouth Trey waited for a reply. Crunching the cube into a million tiny pieces he wondered why he hadn't seen this girl before. After all, she seemed to be a regular to some extent and .... she was so different than any girl he'd seen around the Cape. It seemed he just hadn't been opening his eyes enough.

The explosion of flavors in her mouth as the juices hit her tongue seemed to jar her out of the somber mood the old tales from the regulars had put her in that night, and a smile even managed to curl her lips. Tying the discarded stalk into a small knot she flicked it idly along the bar, watching it's progress through the air until she heard the sound of a male voice. "It's about time someone appeared," she grinned, the other cherry already half in her mouth as she hung onto the other end of the stalk in a very typically flirtatious mood, the words had been said in jest obviously as she hadn't minded the few seconds wait. "Charge me what you wish," a small wink followed the words she she bit off the last of the cherry, playing with the remaining bit or greenery idly as she looked at him.
The guy was unfamiliar to her, but that was hardly surprising, Greasers was Kennie's haunt, Twigg rarely made an appearance in here unless her friend made her, and non of the times had this young man been behind the bar, otherwise, surely she would have noticed. One of the hottest places for guys to be was behind a bar, there was just something about it, maybe it was the prospect of free booze? Well this one definitely looked pleasing to Twigg's eyes, he was tall and lithe, with obvious muscle tone but not too much bulk. "Perfect," she muttered, not bothered that she'd said it allowed and following it with a grin mixed with teasing and seduction.
At the question she gave a small shrug, she had came for a simple beer but she could never quite resist the draw of her favourite guy. "JD please my love," resting her elbows on the wooden top she popped the stalk into her mouth and busied herself for a moment before sticking her tongue out, the brown stick now tied in a perfect knot. Hell, if he was going to stare at her she might as well provide some amusement. Wiping one hand she held it out across the bar "Twigg," she countered. "Pleasure to meet you Trey."

A techno song managed to find its way into Trey's mind as he shook the girls hand. Something about the beat bouncing in his head, so much like techno, was telling him that meeting this girl was going to prove to be a unexpected thrill ride. "Thanks for that." He smirked, taking the cherry knot from her tongue and setting on the back bar where the alcohol was.
Reaching for the JD he flipped a glass around in his hand, the beat still pulsing through his head as he looked to her, a serious tone crossing his voice as he spoke. "I.D. miss." He laughed, there was no way he wasn't going to let her get it all that easy. Though he'd probably pay for her drink in the process of all this non-verbal flirting that happened to be surrounding them.
Waiting for her I.D. he poured the drink slowly into the glass, his thoughts whirring at the idea that there was a girl who was doing something to him and he didn't even know what it was if he was perfectly honest. "You from around here?" He asked her casually, whiping a spill a little ways down the wooden bar. Incidently his muscles in turn, acting of their own accord basically.
Bouncing his fingers against the wood to the techno beat going through his head Trey found himself wondering how this girl was in a club, in bed...or in a relationship. The minute the word entered his mind he craved a cigarette and an ounce of JD all to himself. Could he really be thinking such a crazy thing?

The handshake was a firm strong one and she could feel the texture of his hands in hers, every callus from the work and every natural dip. It was strange how they just seemed to fit together comfortably. As he took the stem from her chin she grinned again, resisting the strange urge to bite this guys hands that she had never met. It was just another thing that Twigg felt made her feel like they had known each other for a lot longer than just a few minutes, maybe it was just her personality and lack of self consciousness.
Watching patiently as he did the job she was so used to, just as easily and quickly as she did. The request for I.D. took her slightly aback and she stared at him for a moment. "You're kidding right?" When he didn't seem to be letting up she gave him an annoyed expression, no one ever I.D.'d Twigg, and fumbled inside her purse, drawing out her driving license. The picture was relatively new, but showed her with her shocking pink hair that she missed so much. "There," there was still a sulky aspect to her as she handed him the card.
Licking her lips slowly she contemplated on another cherry but decided against it, listening to his question instead. "I'm from London," she answered finally, "I've lived here about 3 years." It seemed so much longer since she'd moved here from England, but her tell tale accent and the numbers constantly reminded her.

Fiddling with the card Trey did his job and checked the picture. Selene.. That was definitly not the name he'd expect such a unique girl to have. Hence, probably, the name Twigg. As he handed her card back to her Trey chuckled at the irritation plainly visible on her face. "I never kid." He said, a smirk toying with his lip as he handed her the drink he'd poured for her. There was something striking about her, though he had no idea what it was.
"Long way from home, huh?" He asked, giving her a looking of genuine kindness. As he watched her drink and listened to her speak Trey felt an honest to god connection between him and Twigg, something he hadn't felt since Courtney. Something he avoided at all costs,no matter what, it was the last thing he wanted, yet as he stared at her...he was seeing something other than sex.
Now Haley, he had something with Haley, but none of what he felt towards her was near this magnitued and this girl had simply plopped into the bar he was working at. Staring at he for a moment he scratched the nape of his neck, the back was stocked. Looking down, he began wiping the glasses up front just for something to keep him busy rather than staring at her.
"You go to the academy?" He asked, a basic question that he asked most new people he met. Just as he question was generally yes. However it never bothered him...simply opened the conversation up that much. Looking around the seedy bar he realized most of the regulars dispersed, shaking his head he stared at the glass that was already clean.

She watched him closely as he looked at her I.D. she hated passing it out, there were surprisingly few people who knew Twigg's real name and she wasn't eager for people to learn it, it just wasn't her, what her parents were thinking she did not know. Taking it back quickly she pushed it back deep inside her purse where it belonged, never to be seen again until some cop stopped her for speeding or putting her makeup on whilst driving.
Accepting the drink she made no move to pay for it, as if she just assumed that after his little game he'd give it her for free. Twigg was used to hand outs anyway, from guys like these, they always thought it was the quickest way to get inside her pants. Usually, if they gave her enough, they were right. Raising it to her lips she took a mouthful and smiled at the familiar woody taste that cascaded across her tongue. "Mmm.." at the question she held the tumbler loosely but away from her face. "I guess, though my home is here more than it ever was in London," she would never go back to England now, she had a life for herself here, she had Kennie, she had Tyler.. and this was where she was going to raise him, after all she loved the Cape more than she'd ever loved any other place.
As he continued to stare she returned the gaze, it didn't make her uncomfortable, few people could, but there was something about the intensity that made her curious and wonder what he was really thinking behind those eyes. When he began to wash the glasses she recognised unnecessary distractions and it made her smile, aside from the I.D. thing he was shaping up to be a pretty nice guy, cute in both appearance and personality. Taking another mouthful she smiled at him and nodded at his next enquiry. "Yep, I'm a music student," wiggling her eyebrows she waited for the next one and laughed openly. "Anything else you want to know about me?" She always liked answering questions about herself. Looking around she saw the bar was suddenly empty. "I guess it's just us 2 then?"

Washing the glasses once more for affect Trey moved onto arranging the alcohol in whichever way his boss had said on the list before him. He was finding it surprisingly easy to distract himself and still listen to her conversation as well. Her accent made him shiver lightly but Trey kept it well hidden, after all what good would it do for her to know he was more interested than just for sex.
"You have to pay for half of that you know." He said, smirking her direction has he moved two bottles and set them behind a set of four. It was strange how his boss alway managed to come up with the strangest, and sometimes inconveniant, set ups for the bottles. "I grew up here, but I know what you mean...it's like an addiction for some people." He said casually, hoping that she cared. This girl was someone he was talking to like he'd known her longer than a few minutes.
The Cape had been his home his entire life. Seeing him through times that he never wanted to revisit again. His parents were buried here. There was a gravestone for the child Courtney had aborted. This place was home, no matter where he went, it was the place he came back to. "How does that treat you?" He asked, referring to her music status. Most people were music fanatics in the Cape, himself included. He wondered why he hadn't seen her at the fire pit or he campsite, two place music addicts hung out at.
Finishing the list he shoved it in the drawer, full to the brim already, with pointless lists. When that was done he wiped his hands on the rag before setting it in a small ball on the lower counter before him. "I dont' know, anything else you want to share?" He asked. Chuckling at her comment he nodded in agreement, tonight his boss said to close early and the sign had been out for day's. Trey didn't care why, he just knew he was getting paid hours he didn't have to work. "Yeah...should I be afraid?" He laughed, opening his cash drawer, pulling the money out and couting it slowly.

The continuation of the meaningless and idle tasks that he seemed to be able to keep finding amused her no end as she sat there beside the bar, drink in hand, smile curling her pink lips, painted eyes fixed on the strange new creature she had discovered in the depths of the dingiest bar in town.
At his words she raised one eyebrow in amusement, the drink dangling from her fingertips precariously as if she was going to let it drop onto the top of the bar. It would be nice to watch him clear up after at least, but she'd never waste such a life giving drink. "Oh?" As he arranged and rearranged bottles she played distractedly with a strand of long blue hair, curling it around her finger, one way and then the other as she often did when she was content. "It's strange how I spent 18 years in London and couldn't care less about leaving, 3 years in this place and I couldn't bear the thought of it."
Shrugging at the question about her course she set her glass down and looked back at him, meeting his eyes. "It's alright, I don't really have much time for it anymore what with.." her voice trailed off slightly as she realised she had been about to mention Tyler. That would have been a great way to spoil such a flourishing relationship wouldn't it, what man wouldn't run a mile from a girl with a kid, even if they only wanted one night. "With my two jobs and everything," she finally finished, managing not to lie.
As he finished up the small tasks that she recognised so well she kept reasonably quiet, her eye following his every movement with interest. "Oh only a little, though I do bite." Her eyes flashed with mischief and flirting as she spoke.

Listening to her speak Trey felt content. As if he could be doing tasks at home and listening to her speak about her day, it felt that comforting to him. Finishing the counting of his drawer he looked to her, raising a brow, hoping that the teasing smirk he had in his eyes wouldn't get him skimped from her half priced drink. "Only half, let's go." He said, holding his hand out towards her.
The pause in which she had at the end of her sentence perked Trey's ears and interest. Finishing with two jobs seemed a bit much to him...but it wasn't his place to pry just yet. He wanted to know this girl...his heart was leaping away from him already ... begging to be allowed to take a chance. "What kind of music you into?" He asked insead of inquiring about her private life just yet. Though it was becoming increasingly difficult to not ask her if she was busy after he closed up.
Still standing before her, leaning over the bar slightly he stared at her drink for a moment before reaching for it and taking a small sip. Figuring that since he was partly paying he deserved some interest. Setting it in front of her, he smirked her way once more. "And what on earth are you doing when you're not at these jobs or hanging out in seedy bars trying to scare the cute guy?" He asked, the smirk remaining.
Trey's hand was very near Twigg's and he could feel the heat eminating from hers to his. An electric bolt of connection hitting him in the hand and traveling to his face like a smack from someone's back hand.

As he moved back towards her, leaning close, his hand out for her money she laughed lightly, making no move to fetch any change from her purse. Instead she raised herself slightly off of her stool and reached out to get a grip on the front of his white beater. Grabbing a handful of cloth she pulled him violently towards her, his lips crashing against hers in a fit of passion that flared instantly. Lips pressed against his she slipped her tongue between his lips, probing the unfamiliar territory as she opened her mouth to him, her eyes firmly shut as she pressed the top half of her body against his. One thing Twigg had always been good at was taking what she wanted when she wanted in the heat of the moment, and right now she wanted that drink, and she wanted him.
Letting him go she sat back in her chair, her lips slightly red and puffy but no other indication on her face as to what had just happened as she waited for his reaction. Letting him compose himself she answered his previous questions. "I'm into all kinds of music," it was such a cliche of an answer but it was true none the less. A laugh bubbled from her as he took a mouthful of her drink, "I'll give you one thing, you've got guts," not many people would risk her wraith by taking something of hers without asking, grinning at his next question she shrugged. "Well you know, picking up random guys for a good time, practicing guitar," of course she wasn't exactly joking, but he didn't have to know.

The kiss caught him off guard, after all, that was something Trey would've done with any girl...adding on the fact he would've pulled her over the bar and done her right there on the disgusting floor. Sometimes he made himself wonder about what he believed was sanitation. Scratching the nape of his neck he put his hand out once more. "I need that half price...or I'm fired." He finished, not letting this go. The kiss had sent jolts of electricity through his body, another unfamiliar feeling. The entire time he'd been talking to her....Trey was realizing this was all unbelievably unfamiliar to him. There was no denying he wanted her...but that wasn't the only way he wanted her. Perhaps, that was what surprised him the most.
"Sounds like you're pretty sure of yourself." He smirked, leaning against the counter once more, still waiting for the money she owed him. If he had to lock her in the bar he was going to get it and there was no denying that. He liked his job too much to let her take what was owed, though he didn't mind sitting with her, bantering the entire time.
The clocked chimed eleven and Trey flicked the switch beneath the bar. All the lights out front went out, leaving them to sit in the dim light of the few small lightbulbs hovering over the bar. "Do you have to go straight home?" He finally asked her, his arm was falling asleep from waiting for the money. However, Trey just was not a quietter.

The fact that he wasn't going to back down only made her more determined, it was now just a matter of who backed down first. The kiss hadn't worked so she had to figure out another tactic. Leaning forward over the bar she braced her weight and pulled herself so she was sat atop it, before pulling herself forward til her feet dangled off the other side a few inches in front of him, one leg either side of his body. The small distance between them may have been uncomfortable most, but Twigg loved to see the reactions she created in people, to the flash of emotion in their eyes that no matter how hard they tried they couldn't hide. "You could say that," she drawled, there were few people who had more confidence than Twigg and she prided herself on the fact, she wasn't ashamed of when she did things like this.
Settling herself she kept her body inches from him but never touching him ,the tension killing her as much as it was him as she tried to fight the strangely powerful force that seemed to be drawing her to him, that wanted her to touch his skin, to kiss him again and trail her lips down the soft skin of his neck to his chest. Blinking the imagery from her mouth she looked back up at him, smiling at the question. "No, I'm a big girl, I can stay out as late as I can," in the dim light her face seemed slightly perculiar, even more seductive than usual.

Realizing that she was not going to pay him anytime soon Trey laughed, her body so near his. At that moment he caught a flash of lust crossing her eyes...followed by some other force that he was not familiar with. Moving towards her Trey closed the distance, his body pressed into hers. As he hovered his lips inches from her Trey reached behind her into the purse she'd left on the counter. A handful of change was not hard to come by and he pulled it out quickly. Stepping back from her for a moment he put it into the drawer.
"I'm relieved you're a big girl." He smirked at her, taking the glass, finishing it off and wiping it out before setting it down. After all, since those things were done he was free to leave the place now. Moving closer to Twigg once more he smirked. "Tonights agenda has nothing to do with sex." He warned her, wondering how this girl would take that...in fact he was wondering how he himself would take that. Instead, he wanted to surprise her, make her laugh. Just like he did to him. This entire thing was...odd to Trey...but also the thing he'd been searching for the most.

Every sense she possessed was on edge as she sat there atop the wood of the bar, everything seemed heightened, the woody smell of the JD as it filled her nostrils, even the slight smell of his skin as he stood so close to her, the feel of the bar beneath her was almost painfully vivid but she didn't make a move, the wood pushing through her skin tight leather trousers easily. Breathing slightly heavy she stayed silent for a moment, her eyes still meeting his, somewhere inside she was scalding herself for allowing him to influence her so much, she could usually control herself alot better than this, it was usually the guys who became puddles of much on the floor. The only thing that finally pushed her out of the trance, after he had pushed his body against her, was the sound of metal and she looked around in annoyance to see him taking money from her purse.
Pursing her lips she watched her money slide into the empty tray of the till. The cheek of it. Not bothering to reply she watched him empty her glass, drinking more than he had paid for, for sure. When he finally moved back towards her he spoke again, an odd choice of words that made her raise one eyebrow. "No? Damn," grinning once more she gave him a teasing expression. "Then what does it have to do with may I ask? Do you want more of my money?" This was a first, even Wyatt accepted that their relationship was about sex and nothing else, then again he knew about Tyler and Twigg's position in life, and this Trey did not.
