The wind was blowing lazily about, ruffling tree branches, and causing a few leaves to dance about playfully. The sun was just starting to set, it was that time of day where the sky was lit up with a million different colors. Beautiful. Or at least one girl thought. Lying on her stomach in the middle of the grassy field was this young brunette. Before her there was a pad of paper and in her hand a pencil. Her eyes were focused upon the site in front of her, the sun slowly dipping behind the horizon with a school building darkened in front. From her view there were three perfectly placed trees that framed her picture.
She drew without paying much attention, just letting the pencil glide across the paper. She glanced down upon her paper, her eyes squinting as a small frown formed in her delicate features. Quickly she erased a part of one of the trees and redrew its branch, this time expanding it more upwards. There, that was better, she thought to herself, eyes returning upwards.
Who was this girl? Easy, Alexis Brown, or more well known as Lexi. Art student and social butterfly. However at the moment she was putting her social-ness on hold as she worked on getting this picture exactly right. Her feet were kicked up in the air as she lounged there in the grass on her stomach, still eying the tree. She was tuning most everything and everyone out at the moment. In fact since the half an hour she had been there, waiting for this exact moment (when the sun hit the trees just right), seven different people had come up to her.
However, known of that was on her mind right now. What was on her mind was this picture. And getting it right, making it perfect. She drew with no color right now, she was just making the outline. A few minutes earlier she had snapped a picture, that was she could get the colors right once at home. For now, the pencil worked.

William, spotted walking aimlessly around the campus, the classes were over, but going home seemed such a lazy option that he decided to stay in school for a couple more hours. Strangely enough, his guitar wasn't with him, he decided to take a break from all the music that seemed to follow him every where he went, indeed, he was in an art school so it was rather difficult no to have music in ever corner, but still, this time wasn't him who was playing it.
Will was, once again, dressing one of his fine suits, his hand rested inside his pants pockets as he walked towards a tree in the quad, there was nothing better to do crossing his mind than to seat under it and just relax for a while.
A girl was layed down not far from where he was, he couldn't help but check her out, let's be honest, although classy, he was still a guy, it was in his blood. She seemed to have everything where it should be, but from behind he wasn't able to tell who she was. Not wanting to bother her while she was drawing, he passed by her and sat under the tree closer to her, not on purpose, it just seemed a good spot. If she wasn't bothered by his presence, she would say something, if not, he would stay quiet, he knew how touchy the artists there were.

Her eyes were down upon her picture, squinting once more as she tried to get this picture just right. It was that damn tree, for some reason it just wouldn't work. Not matter what she did it still looked awkward and out of place, as if something was missing from it. She surveyed her drawing, eyes moving from one tree to the next. It was just that one tree...all the others turned out how she wanted them to, but no. Not this one, it had to be difficult. A small sigh escaped from her lips as she shook her head, causing her brown curls to cascade about her face in waves.
Lexi glanced up, willing to give this tree another go. Instead of finding the branches swaying in the wind and the roots sticking up from the ground, her eyes landed on the boy sitting in front of the tree. When had he arrived and why didn't she notice? She must have been too wrapped up in the picture, much more then she thought she was. Maybe it was time for a break. Nevertheless, this handsome boy (dressed in a nice looking suit even) had sat down upon the one tree she was having trouble with. Probably without even realizing it. She started to ask him to move, or say something but instead inspiration struck.
Her hand moved as if on its own, sketching his figure lightly beneath the tree. She went back, adding a few details here and there, erasing some, making certain lines darker. Lexi slyly moved her eyes back and forth, to this seemingly out of place student, to her pad of paper. Only a few minutes ticked by but it seemed much longer to her. And a smile fluttered to her face, without her even realizing it, as she titled her head back a bit to look at what she had drawn. She moved her eyes from the boy to the now complete tree, to the sky and the building in the background.
It was not half bad.

William sat there for some time, his head leaned back and his eyes closed, ignoring everything that surrounded him, his mind completely blank. It wasn't like he had that much to think about, he had everything he could ever ask for, there wasn't even one thing that made him worried. At least not yet, the only thing that he disliked was the fact that he had to take over his father company along with his brother when he finished school, he didn't had a saying in his career, but well, it wasn't like his father life displeased him that much and besides he didn't thought he would be able to live from music.
Opening his eyes he looked to the girl he had seen before, she was now looking from him to her draw, with an eyebrow raised he watched as she continued doing the same over and over again, was she drawing him?Nah, probably just the tree were he was sitting on. After a couple of minutes she stopped, she seemed to be done with what she was doing.

Lexi took one final glance at her drawing, fixed a few more little things, and added a few other details. With a smile that radiated satisfaction she pushed her self up from her previous lying down position. She brushed a few leaves and specks of dirt off of her low rise jeans (a pure sign this was her lazy day, as she normally wore skirts or something like that) and pulled her small tank top down a bit. A dark brown that almost matched her ever changing eyes, almost. Today they were really dark brown with that hint of red that made them sparkle. Her hair also seemed to take on a reddish tint in the low sunlight.
Alexis Brown, known as Lexi, knew everyone. She was the social butterfly of the school, friends with practically everyone. But she had her share of enemies, as did everyone really. So when she spotted this unnamed boy by the tree she was confused that she wasn't sure who he was. Which was why the initial response was to start drawing him. But that was quickly followed by the need to know him. There was a large chance he knew who she was, either from reputation or from a friend of a friend sort of thing. After all, she was never afraid to go up and talk to strangers. Which was how she knew almost everyone. With the strange exception of this guy.
But Alexis, as open and friendly as she was, also had a secret. A deep dark secret that no one knew, something that she kept close to her. It added a strange mysteriousness to her, due to the fact she hardly ever talked about herself. That was the reason some people became annoyed with her, her avoidance of questions directed at her and a certain subject area. It was always in the back of her mind, her first thought before she did anything. She knew someday someone would find out, but hopefully by then...well, she wasn't going to think about that. She had been living with this secret for four years, another few wouldn't hurt.
Anyway, her thoughts back on the boy in the suit, she headed over, pad of paper held loosely in one of her hands as she walked. Her heels dug into the dirt a bit, but she managed to make it over to him. "Hi." She simply greeted before fumbling with her small drawing. "I hope you don't mind...I kinda drew you. I mean, you stepped into my frame so..." She didn't finish, instead she turned the pad towards him, holding it out for him to see and take.

William was in his second year at White Hill, and although he knew most girls in that school, either because he slept with them or he just fooled around, this one didn't seemed familiar. Most guys wanted to be him, most girls wanted to be with him, William Elliot was quite the popular guy, not only because of his seductive way but also because he had appeared in almost every teen magazine there was. The "Desired Young Millionaire" It was one of the titles they gave him, along with his brother they made more photoshoots than they can remember. So, ever since he entered this school, girls walking to him introducing themselves and asking for autographs was a daily basis thing.
Raising his head, Will smiled warmly as the girl greeted him "Hello" he replied back "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't knew you were drawing this, I apologize" he stated grabbing the pad she was handing to him "I have to say, You made me almost more beautiful than what I already am" he teased with a grin "It's really good" he added now with a more serious face but still, a gentle smile could be seen "I'm William by the way" he introduced himself extending his hand to her.

And then she smiled, and when she did her whole face lit up. For that really was the most attractive thing about her. Just a simple smile, so easy to do, managed to gain so much attention. For her eyes always seemed to sparkle and the mood of people about her always seemed to shift. She had that affect on people, she didn't question it, only tried to smile more often then not. Something that was hard to do at first...but she had grown. As so many others do in this place, they learn and live and grow. Which was exactly what Lexi had accomplished so far. At least most of the learning and growing, not a whole lot of the living. She never took crazy big risks, and she still had yet to overcome her fear of certain things.
So she stood crouched down, sitting upon her knees in the grassy area by this boy, still smiling. She enjoyed making new friends, she loved meeting new people. Because to her, no one was alike. She enjoyed finding out these differences in everyone. Her brown eyes glanced over at his suit, so out of place in this school with students lounging around in jeans and whatnot (kind of like herself at the moment) yet at the same time he still seemed to fit it rather well. When he introduced himself she tried to rack her brain, figure out if she knew a William or not. But none came to mind, and why would it? She didn't read magazines much, preferring to be around the hear and now of the school.
Lexi allowed her hand to reach out to his own extended one, shaking it for a moment. As her hand slipped back down her her side she glanced about at the darkening sky. "Alexis. But I go by Lexi." She introduced her own self, figuring that was the polite thing to do and everything. Then her gaze returned back to this stranger, watching him for a second. "You can have that one, it wasn't my best work. And I didn't exactly let you know I was sketching you." She said, referring to the drawing still in his hands.

"Alexis. But I go by Lexi."
"It's a pleasure to meet you Lexi" he stated with a charming smile as she shook his hand. William could be many things, but one of those wasn't impolite, actually, he just hated those kind of people that didn't had the slight sense of class. The way he acted like a gentleman was many times what made him desirable to so many girls, of course his looks had a big roll in that, but girls reach a time in their lives that guys that act like boys doesn't seem so appealing anymore, at least it was what he could see from his experience. William was educated that way, his parents were invited to all sorts of parties and there one could see from the president to famous actors and musicians, so it was only normal that he and his brother learned from the best how to act properly in front of others.
"You can have that one, it wasn't my best work. And I didn't exactly let you know I was sketching you."
Will grinned gently "Well thank you very much" he said checking the picture one last time, that school had indeed good artists and that was mainly the reason he never thought he could make a living out of his abilities with the guitar and his voice. People had always said he was really good but to him, he wasn't just good enough which he found it strange to feel like that, he was very egocentric and narcissistic, but in that case he was being very altruist.
"I'll put it on a nice frame next to my guitars" he added with a wink and a soft smile "Tell me Lexi, I presume you're a student here but I can't remember ever seeing you here before and I hardly forget a pretty face, so one, we hang out on different places or two, you're new here."
